This Is an 8 week rolling block of classes that covers everything you and your baby needs during the postnatal period and up to one year following birth

*Support baby’s growth & development through Baby Yoga & Baby Massage *Sensory stimulation – scarfs,songs,parachute, bubbles
*Well being – vital time to chat to other mums.
Who Is The Course Run By?
Laura Warren founder of Fitmuma(TM) Michelle from Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond.
The classes will alternate so week 1 Michelle, week 2 Laura and so on.
Michelle – Mum & Baby Yoga sessions will cover
Postnatal Yoga, Baby Yoga, Baby Massage, Sensory time followed by important time to chat to other mums.
– Postnatal yoga tailored to your stage and type of birth to support recovery postnataly, ease back ache, gently strengthen your core and give you the important time to stretch while involving your baby.
– Baby yoga and massage to support development and improve muscle tone.
– Help with common ailments such as colic and constipation.
– Songs and rhymes.
– The use of play scarf that I provide for you to keep.
– Essential time to chat to other mums after the session. I usually provide a large play mat and toys but now you with Covid can you bring a few toys for your baby to play with dependent on age. I hope soon to be able to provide tea/coffee and biscuits once the kitchen in the hall is open to use.
– Class finishes with bubbles.
Laura and Fitmuma sessions will cover Postnatal Fitness, Core Recovery & Pelvic Floor Health.
These sessions will be aimed at helping you to take care of your core and pelvic floor. We will start by doing a pre screen where we will look into conditions that could have arisen from pregnancy. For example, diastasis, prolapse, leakage, back issues, posture, and the way you breath.
We will help educate you so that you can make sure that you are going about your daily life in a way that will allow your body to heal properly whilst strengthening it so that you lower the risk of pelvic floor issues later on in life. We will exercise so that we can help your body become ‘functionally sound.’
– By the end of the course you will have:
– Better pelvic health
– Control of your intra-abdominal pressure
– Better connection between your breath, pelvic floor and core
– Improved strength and mobility
– Improved confidence
– Lower risk of injury
– Improved return to exercise/sport.
We will set up a closed WhatsApp group to keep in touch with each other between classes, gain support and new friends.
